Farm life in the 1880s comes alive at Carriage Hill MetroPark! Located at 7800 E. Shull Road, Carriage Hill was originally settled in 1830. Today, daily farm activities still occur almost 365 days a year on this historic farm. Visit and learn about anything from daily farm chores to baking bread or quilting. Period-dressed volunteers help make the experience even more enjoyable. The Visitor Center exhibits, highlighting lifestyles of a century ago, start the journey back in time, while demonstrations, historical buildings, and even period farm animals paint the picture. Buildings include a blacksmith shop, woodshop, historic house, and bank barn. The Farm also includes a Children’s Interactive Center, a Country Store Gift Shop, and the Carriage Hill Gallery. There are acres of natural beauty to enjoy and the Riding Center is saddled up and ready to help you hit the trail. Pony rides, lesson programs, and horse camps are offered. This Dayton Original boasts 900 acres rich in cultural and natural history!
