The Vectren Dayton Air Show presented by Kroger is highly regarded as America’s greatest air show! The family-friendly event, held annually each July at the Dayton International Airport, often features the United States Navy Blue Angels, along with an unprecedented lineup of military and civilian performers and more than 100 static aircraft. The Blue Angels push their six F/A-18 Hornets to the limits by demonstrating tightly choreographed routines, illustrating the pinnacle of precision flying. Other notable performances may include the Brazilian Air Force Smoke Squadron, The Misty Blues All-Woman Skydiving Team, and Gene Soucy Wingwalking. The Air Show is appropriate for people of all ages and packed with free special attractions for children. The Vectren Kids’ Hangar is a special place that permits children to dig in a huge sandbox, enjoy face painting and crafts, climb on a backyard gym, and so much more. It’s the perfect place to take a break out of the sun and enjoy quality family time. Air Show performers sometimes stop by to sign autographs for the littlest fans. The Aerospace Adventures (A2) program provides interactive, hands on activities, experiments, and demonstrations to children ages 6-16. The goal of this program is to get kids interested in STEM education. This Dayton Original is a premier event that is not to be missed!
