Feast your eyes on the spectacular display of this 31-acre estate garden donated by Marie Aull, wife of John Aull, president of the Aull Brothers Box Company. Aullwood Garden MetroPark, located at 955 Aullwood Road in Englewood, is a nationally recognized, historic estate garden rich in plant diversity, habitats, and tranquility. The garden acquired its present configuration in the two decades following John and Marie’s marriage in 1923. From the beginning, Wiles Creek served as a landscape focus and the forest shade determined the selection of plants. This park has a picturesque creek, prairie, woods, and gardens planted with native and exotic flowers. Visit Aullwood often and discover the beauty of color, texture, and form in all seasons! Many bird and butterfly species can be observed here. Aullwood Garden MetroPark is one of the Miami Valley’s most historic garden parks. It has a bur oak tree with the 1913 flood watermark, and a twin sycamore aged when Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492! The Aull house dates back to 1907 and is on the Ohio State and National Historic Registries. This Dayton Original is a living work of art that has been a peaceful retreat for visitors since 1977!
