Huffman Dam, the lake, and the Mad River are highlights of the 283-acre Huffman MetroPark, located at 4439 Lower Valley Pike, Fairborn.  The 3-mile trail winding through the park offers the opportunity for hiking and wildlife/bird watching. The habitats draw many migrating birds, including many species of ducks, gulls, herons, song birds, woodpeckers, and birds of prey. Enjoy fishing and picnicking surrounded by beautiful scenery. Bring your bat and ball, Frisbee, or volleyball net and enjoy a game while your picnic meal cooks on the grill in the shelter. With sufficient snowfall, the level-to-gently-rolling terrain provides scenic cross-country skiing around the lake and through the picnic areas. Huffman MetroPark is a great place for cycling enthusiasts, so, get out and ride! Five Rivers MetroParks opened MoMBA (MetroParks Mountain Bike Area) in September of 2007 at Huffman MetroPark. MoMBA was the first of what will be a system of outdoor recreation-focused facilities that will provide new and unique places to play outdoors. MoMBA provides over 8 miles of mountain biking opportunities for the most advanced to the novice rider. This Dayton Original is being managed for natural diversity, making it an ideal spot for wildlife viewing!
