Marion’s Piazza opened on August 18, 1965, at 460 Patterson Road in Dayton. It was a first for pizza establishments in Dayton as the restaurant seated over 200 customers in it dining rooms! (All other pizza parlors at that time only offered carryout service with no inside seating.) Marion’s Piazza developed a thin crust pizza cut into bite-sized squares (often referred to as “Dayton Style” pizza) rather than slices. By using the finest ingredients on pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, and salads, Marion’s Piazza soon became a Dayton favorite! To date, Marion’s Piazza has been voted “Dayton’s Best Pizza” in 32 local surveys, and has been ranked “Second in the Nation of Independent Pizza Establishments” by Pizza Today magazine (October 2012).

Over the years, Marion’s Piazza has grown to nine locations in the greater Dayton area! Since dine-in has always been king at Marion’s Piazza (the nine locations seating between 275 to over 500 customers each), the restaurants have been a gathering place for sports teams, birthday celebrations, reunions, graduation parties, and anniversary celebrations. A longstanding relationship with Kenley Players Summer Theater between 1965 and 1995 brought many of Hollywood’s best-known stars to Dayton and to Marion’s Piazza! Joel Gray, Mickey Rooney, Sally Field, and Betty White were just a few of the hundreds that have enjoyed Marion’s pizza. Daytonians Rob Lowe and Martin Sheen still frequent Marion’s Piazza when in Dayton. Marion’s Piazza Corporate Office is located at 721 Shroyer Road in Dayton. The company currently employs over 300 people and is very proud to be a Dayton Original!

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. I went to all the Beaver creek schools. I was raised on Marions piazza. It is the best ever. I now live in Ky. One hour from Dayton. We come home often to get Marions. We love it.
