FaithWorks artist and Dayton’s own gospel male quartet, New Harvest, made its debut in 2005 at the famed Showtime at the Apollo in New York City. A history making experience in itself, the group further excelled in 2008 as 3-time Dove Award Nominees for the self-titled project, New Harvest. Their self-titled maxi-single, “The Strength of a Man,” written and arranged by Terence O. Hayes, Jr., was the first musical work from FaithWorks Records, a brand birthed at Faith Deliverance Church of God in Christ, their family roots and local church. New Harvest members began their ministry in Dayton in 1994 from this church, and they have quickly emerged as one of gospel music’s most acclaimed new groups! They began writing their own songs, composing their own music, and have received many great accolades for their passion and heart for gospel music.

The Best of New Harvest – The Playlist, featuring the group’s greatest hits is currently available digitally online at iTunes, Amazon, and other digital outlets. The Playlist project captures the power, triumph, victory, and defeat that one may encounter in life. This release includes their TBN debut of “His Eye is on the Sparrow,” their first recording, “A Brighter Day,” and the urban contemporary track, “Just Clap.”  In 2013, movie producer Robert Townsend featured their hit single, “I Can’t Stop” (from the 2007 Daywind/Vital Records release), in his Entertainment One movie, The Hive. The story gets better! Black Entertainment Network (BET) featured this movie in heavy rotation during Black History month in 2013. Their hot single, “I Know That He Can,” is currently garnering gospel radio playtime as it blasts on the airwaves, recently being added to The Sheridan Gospel Network (The Light) and Rejoice Musical Soulfood radio stations! In addition to the single, a new video is already in motion capturing the power and message of the titled track. All songs on this project were penned by Pastor Terence O. Hayes, Sr., sharing the spotlight with his eldest son, Terence O. Hayes, Jr., on two tracks. Family is the key ingredient of this male group: uncle, sons, nephews, father, all in one.

Pastor Terence O Hayes, Sr., has added a 24/7 internet radio station, Faith Deliverance Radio (FDR). It’s a great compliment for New Harvest’s ministry, fitting the worship theme of Faith Deliverance, “the place where ministry, music, and the saving of souls is our goal.” FDR features A+ and up-and-coming new artists. Terence wanted to reach back to have a platform where new artists can get recognition as well as radio play on the airwaves.

New Harvest’s talent and passion for the gospel has landed them performances with artists such as Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Christ Tabernacle Choir, and Teresa Hairston’s Gospel Heritage Praise and Worship Conference. In addition to the famed stage of the Apollo in New York City, this Dayton Original has performed on the INSP network’s Camp Meeting, I-Gospel, and TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network)! Keep your eyes open for the movement of New Harvest.
