Meladi McNair is a social-conscious film maker, author, singer, and entrepreneur. She focuses her time and energy on writing and producing independent, compelling stories concerning perpetual themes that trouble the human race. Her pieces delve deep into the psychological and emotional aspects of humans, and most importantly, inspire people to be a better version of themselves. Meladi began reading at age three, writing at age four, and won her first writing contest at age six. Meladi most recently gained local notoriety and media attention in Dayton for her teen anti-bullying book, The Vexing, and her anti-domestic abuse film, The Omission. The Vexing enters the mind of a bullied teen pushed too far over the edge. The Omission is a dark, haunting, loosely true-life story of five friends who beome irretrievably broked due to domestic violence. Meladi is also known for writing for Boss Magazine, and interviewing legendary and hot emerging musical acts. She began recording at age 16, and in addition to writing screenplays and books, and producing films, she remains interested in writing and arranging songs for national recording artists. This lady of many trades founded a production company, Cleverish Media, Inc., which merges creativity and social activism. Meladi believes that entertainment has the ability to educate, amuse, and uplift people simultaneously.
